Casey Anthony Due In Court Over Paying Lawyers

ORLANDO, FL — A Florida woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter will be back in court to explain how she is paying her legal defense team.

Casey Anthony was charged with first-degree murder after daughter Caylee was found dead in December, months after disappearing.

Prosecutors want to know if Anthony has given her defense attorney the right to sell her story. Prosecutors say such an arrangement could provide grounds for an appeal if she is convicted. The hearing is set for Wednesday morning.

Casey Anthony has denied such an arrangement and says that prosecutors filed the motion as retaliation because she did not agree to a plea deal for a crime she didn’t commit.
