California Kidnapper Arrested In Coeur D’Alene
COEUR D’ALENE – Sheriff deputies in Kootenai County successfully tracked down a kidnapper Friday afternoon who had allegedly abducted a woman from Tulare County, California a month ago.
Authorities with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department in California contacted the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department to let them know a possible kidnap victim, identified as Shannon Crose, had a cell phone they were actively pinging in the Coeur d’Alene area.
California authorities believed that Crose was kidnapped more than a month ago by Michael Luhdorff, who was believed to be the suspect in previous kidnappings in California.
Officers with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department along with Kootenai County deputies, acting on information provided by Tulare County officials, went to 4304 Bourbon Street in Coeur d’Alene where they were pinging Crose’s cell phone.
At that address they located Crose and Luhdorff. Luhdorff was arrested on a 2nd degree Kidnapping charge.
