Burgers With A Heart Breaks Records

SPOKANE — Red Robin and the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery broke records this year with their annual Burgers With a Heart fundraiser.

The event brought in $26,173, which surpassed its $20,000 goal.

During the two-week fundraiser Red Robin donated 50 cents from every burger purchase to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, which provides vital support services for children and families. Paper hearts were also sold in the restaurants for $1.

“We would like to thank Red Robin and the Spokane community for their ongoing generosity and involvement in Burgers With A Heart,” said Amy Swanson, executive director for the crisis nursery.

“Thank you to all of the guests who dined at a local Red Robin restaurant during the event to support the Crisis Nursery,” said Susan Lintonsmith, Red Robin chief marketing officer.

Over the nine years the crisis nursery and Red Robin have teamed up for the event, nearly $140,000 has been raised for the nursery.
