Boys give every girl in school a Valentine’s Day flower

Every girl at a Missouri middle school got a Valentine’s Day flower this year thanks to some thoughtful boys.
The three boys — sixth-grader Lincoln Holmes, seventh-grader Kyan Rice and eighth-grader Tristan Valentine — all attend Summit Trail Middle School in Olathe, Missouri.
“I thought it was a great opportunity to give back, because being able to make every girl in school at Summit Trail happy on Valentine’s Day means a whole lot to everybody,” Rice told KSHB 41 Action News.
The school’s principal said the boys’ actions had an immediate impact.

“I had a young lady come up to me and said, ‘I didn’t used to like to go to school on Valentine’s Day. I loved it today.’ And so that was special and it was all because of these three young men,” principal Sarah Guerrero told 41 Action News.
Guerrero said she’s known about the boys’ plans for a few weeks, since they came to her with the idea. She said she wanted to do what she could to help them out.
“When I was handing out the flowers, it felt really good to give them a flower and then see the reactions on their face,” Valentine told KSHB.
