Bolt Creek Fire closes Highway 2 again

SKYKOMISH, Wash. — If you had any plans on traveling on Highway 2 near Skykomish, you will need to make some changes to your commute.

Highway 2 on the other side of Stevens Pass has closed again in the Skykomish area as crews continue to work on the Bolt Creek Fire.

WSDOT-East says if you are heading to I-90 instead, you should prepare for heavy traffic going west.

The road reopened a few days ago, but it is now closed again.

Trooper Jacob Kennett says a local signed detour will be posted through Skykomish.
