Blame For Spears’ Hit-Run On The Other Foot

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles prosecutors say a photographer accusing Britney Spears of running over his foot with her car has only himself to blame.

They’re refusing to pursue the case. They say that police records, photos and a video indicate he put his foot in the way on purpose.

The photographer filed a criminal complaint against Spears in early May, nearly six months after the alleged incident. The complaint sought a felony charge of failing to stop after an accident involving an injury.

A police report describes a chaotic scene surrounding Spears, with photographers on all sides of her car and “a lot of noise and confusion.” It also describes Spears as “driving at an extremely slow rate of speed and in a straight path.”

Spears told police she didn’t remember last year’s incident, and prosecutors believed her.
