BBCC introduces new Dean of Workforce Education
Daneen Berry-Guerin has been promoted to Dean of Workforce Education at Big Bend Community College.
Berry-Guerin has been a Business and Business Information Management instructor at BBCC since 2005, starting as a part time instructor in 2003. She succeeds Clyde Rasmussen, who retired in June after nine years in the position.
Berry-Guerin will have a leadership role in planning for a new $35 million Professional Technical Education Center (PTEC). Design funding for PTEC is first on the list in the state’s budget for community college capital projects recently approved by the Legislature. It will be the largest capital project in the college’s history.
“We are pleased to have one of our faculty members bring her classroom values, innovative attitude, and work ethic to administration, where Daneen will build upon her past successes,” said Terry Leas, BBCC President.
Berry-Guerin has 14 years of teaching experience in workforce education at the community college level. She has earned three bachelor’s degrees from Eastern Washington University; in accounting, business management and business education. She earned a Master’s in Business Administration (Business Management) from American InterContinental University.
