Autopsies Confirm Two Men Died In Explosions

MOSES LAKE — The Grant County Coroner’s Office confirmed Wednesday that two Moses Lake men involved in separate explosions over the weekend died of multiple blast impact injuries.

Chief Deputy Coroner Lynette Henson completed the autopsies on 69-year-old William Arleigh Walker and 53-year-old Javier Martinez Adame late Tuesday afternoon.

Moses Lake Undersheriff John Turley says Walker and Adame were involved in two separate incidents involving some type of explosives over the weekend.

On Saturday Grant County Fire District along with Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a home in Wheeler just outside of Moses Lake to find 69-year-old William Walker face down with severe trauma due to an explosion. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Then early Sunday morning deputies were called to an explosion involving injuries. Authorities arrived on scene to find 53-year-old Javier Martinez Adame of Moses Lake dead from an explosion.

Undersheriff Turley says they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the blasts that occurred over the weekend as well as a third incident that happened two weeks earlier near Soap Lake involving a pipe bomb.
