Automotive Specialties relocates to make room for Chick-fil-A

SPOKANE, Wash. — After multiple confusing reports in recent years, Chick-fil-A is finally set to arrive in Spokane.
Automotive Specialties changed their signboard at 9304 N Newport Hwy to read “Chick-fil-A on the way, moving across from Wendle.”
The company also posted the news on their Facebook page.
On December 16, Spokane City assistant planner Melissa Owen issued Chick-fil-A west region development director Don Ikeler approval to construct a Chick-fil-A restaurant with a drive-thru at the Newport Highway site.
Automotive Specialties, the previous tenants, have relocated to 8815 N Division St.
Currently, the closest Chick-fil-A to Spokane resides on the University of Idaho campus.
All locations in Washington currently exist west of the Cascades, with the most recent restaurant opening in northwest Seattle last June.
