Authorities looking for possible theft suspects in Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding two possible theft suspects in Spokane.
Preliminary information from SCSO says a person noticed earlier Sunday morning that two men were trying to steal his mini-excavator on a flatbed trailer connected to his truck near North Bowdish Road and East Boone Avenue in Spokane Valley.
SCSO says the victim of the theft followed the suspects up the street and later confronted them. Later, SCSO says the suspects drove toward the victim, where the victim fired shots at the suspects.
Spokane County Sheriff Public Information Officer Mark Gregory said officers found blood in the truck and assume one of the suspects was injured. The cause of the assumed injury is unknown, according to SCSO.
SCSO says the vehicle was later found near North Nevada and East Sanson in Spokane. The Spokane Police Department set up a perimeter in the area and ran K9 during the investigation.
No suspects have been found and no arrests have been made. SCSO says there is no ongoing threat to the public.
This is an ongoing investigation. SCSO says anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
