Authorities catch fatal driving suspect, Spokane judge releases her the same day

SPOKANE, Wash. — A woman suspected of driving drunk and triggering a wrong-way fatal crash on Interstate 90 was arrested on Tuesday morning for violating the conditions of her release, only to be released by a Spokane Superior Court judge the same day.
Judge Raymond Clary released Carrah Goble pending a full hearing on the violation, hearing evidence from both sides. That hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 9.
Goble mistakenly drove up a freeway off ramp early one morning in the fall of 2015 and then ran head on into Ronnie Morrison’s Volkswagen. Morrison died from his injuries.
Goble would later be released on bond and told to wear a bracelet that detects the presence of alcohol after the court had ordered her not to drink.
On January 27, the device sent out a signal someone was tampering with it.
A warrant was issued for Goble and Washington State Patrol arrested her on Tuesday morning.
