At Least 6 Deaths Blamed On Severe Weather
(AP) — At least six deaths are being blamed on severe weather that’s caused a freak cluster of January twisters in the Midwest and another possible tornado in central Arkansas.
In north-central Indiana, officials say a man died while attempting to leave his home after a creek flooded. Also, two children died in their submerged car. In central Arkansas Tuesday, officials say one person was killed in a possible tornado that also damaged homes.
Some counties in west Tennessee are under tornado warnings, as storms move east across the Mississippi Valley.
Monday, tornadoes were reported or suspected in southwest Missouri, southeastern Wisconsin, Arkansas, Illinois and Oklahoma. Two people were killed in Missouri.
