Arrests made in ‘Deadliest Catch’ assault case

An arrest was made Tuesday afternoon in connection to an assault in western Washington that hospitalized a star of the hit TV show ‘Deadliest Catch.’

Jorel Fultz, 29, and Amanda Crandall, 30, were contacted just after 4 p.m. in Spokane, Wash. by detectives from the Targeted Crimes Unit. The pair were booked to the Spokane County Jail on 1st degree robbery charges following an interview with those detectives.

According to the Spokane Police Department, these charges stem from the investigation into the attack of ‘Deadliest Catch’ TV star, Jake Harris. Harris was severely assaulted and robbed in Everett, Wash. On November 12.

Interviews with Fultz and Crandall led detectives to believe that the two met Harris at a nearby casino where the victim had recently won a large amount of money. Detectives from the Everett Police Department conducted an investigation and established probable cause to criminally charge Fultz and Crandall. Information indicated that the two suspects had fled to the Spokane Washington, Northern Idaho area.

The Spokane Police Department and Everett Police Department are continuing to work together as the the investigation progresses.
