Apple Puck 2020 to raise rivalries, funds for fourth consecutive year

WINTHROP, Wash. — Apple Puck returns for its fourth installment at the Winthrop Rink on February 22, serving as the primary fundraiser for the outdoor ice rink.
The all-day event will feature four club hockey teams from around the state as the University of Washington, Washington State, Western Washington, and Gonzaga battle for state superiority.
UW has won all three previous Apple Pucks, while Gonzaga is making its debut.
Each match features raffles, Chuck-a-Puck, and Blue Line Shoot-out promotions, with prizes ranging from signed jerseys to one-night stays at Sun Mountain Lodge, the event’s sponsor.
In addition to four matches, the day will feature an open skate session and a skills event for youth hockey players.
Proceeds from the event go to operational costs for the Winthrop Rink. Doors open at 7:15 a.m., with the first match beginning at 8 a.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors, and can be purchased HERE.
