Anam Cara Healing Center offering free meditation classes to the Spokane community

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Anam Cara Healing Center in downtown Spokane wants to help relieve the community’s stress.
The meditation studio is starting a free, city-wide virtual meditation challenge in November. Anam Cara will offer live meditation classes all month long, allowing participants to engage with teachers and fellow students in real time.
Classes will range from five to 30 minutes and are open to all ages. Participants who complete a set number of meditations will be entered into drawings for prizes.
Hundreds have already signed up for the virtual classes, and they are aiming for the thousands. You can sign up for the challenge here.
Meditation has been proven to improve sleep and focus, reduce stress, and soften anxiety. Anam Cara’s goal is to make mindfulness mainstream and available to everyone.
