Airway Heights man arrested for shooting ground after argument

The Airway Heights Police Department arrested a convicted felon on Wednesday who allegedly shot a gun into the ground three times as he drove off during a fight.

According to police, 51-year-old Ronald Brown was leaving a domestic violence argument when he shot the gun.

Officers found Brown’s truck a while later, unoccupied at the Maverick gas station at Hayford Rd and Hwy 2. Brown was found hiding in some nearby bushes and taken into custody.

Police booked Brown into the Spokane County Jail on five counts of unlawful posession of a firearm 2nd degree, three counts of aiming or discharging firearms, and one count of possession of methamphetamine.
