After another day of record heat, minor relief is forecast to arrive earlier than expected – Kris
If the heat is getting to you, you’re not alone. Four days in the triple digits, an all-time high temperature and record high overnight lows can are taking a toll on many Inland Northwesterners. With that in mind, you’ll be happy to know that we are cooling down a little more rapidly than originally forecasted. For Thursday, expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 90s. At least, that will be the official high. It will still likely make it into the triple-digits in spots. However, we are moving in the right direction.
The slow cooling-trend will continue through the 4th of July weekend and beyond. It is still going to be hot! In fact, the EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING continues through Sunday evening. High temperatures will stay in the 90s through the 7-day forecast. Unfortunately, there’s no sign of rain in the outlook for the next week.
