ACH Takes 1B Title With 38-14 Win Over Odessa; First Title Since 1990

TACOMA — The Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors won the Washington Class 1B state football title Friday with a 38-14 victory over the previously unbeaten Odessa Tigers at the Tacoma Dome.

Quarterback Josh Goodwin scored two touchdowns, ran for 131 yards and passed for 58 more for Almira/Coulee-Hartline.

The eight-man title was the second for the Warriors (12-1). They also won in 1990. Odessa (12-1) was seeking its third title, having won in 1989 and 1993. The Tigers were making their sixth title-game appearance.
