A cold start to Wednesday with a few flurries on the way – Kris

What we’re tracking

We are tracking more unseasonably cold weather and a chance of mountain snow and a few flurries Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We are also tracking changes in our weather pattern for the days before Thanksgiving.  There’s a chance of light snow Monday and Tuesday, with the potential for some heavier snow over the mountain passes.

4 Things To Know

Plan your Wednesday

There are no surprises in the forecast for Wednesday! It will be a day very much like we’ve experienced the past several days.  Expect low clouds and fog to start the day, with partly sunny conditions in the afternoon. We will start the day in the teens and top out in the lower to mid-30s. That’s about 10 degrees below average.

Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast

Temperatures will continue below average through the 7-day forecast. A cold front late Wednesday into Thursday morning will bring a chance of mountain snow to the region along with some snow flurries in the valleys. Behind the front, expect breezy northeast winds for Thursday and a re-enforcing shot of cold air to end the work week. After a dry and cold weekend, the weather pattern will change starting Monday.  Expect light snow Monday and Tuesday with warmer, wetter weather for the Thanksgiving travel holiday. That brings the possibility of rain and snow in the valleys and snow in the mountain passes.
