83-year-old learns to apply wife’s makeup as she loses her eyesight

Mona Monahan, 83, is losing her vision so her devoted husband, Des, decided that he would learn how to apply her makeup. She sees nothing out of her left eye and her right eye doesn’t work that well, either. The Irish couple regularly visits the Debenhams department store in their neighborhood. One day, Mona decided to have her face made up before a party. Watching carefully, Des thought, “I could do that.”
