7 names added to fallen officer memorial in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – The names of seven fallen officers were added to Spokane’s Law Enforcement Officers Memorial project on Tuesday. 

The officers were honored in a solemn ceremony outside of the Public Safety Building. 

Among those honored was Officer Alexandrea Harris. The Seattle Police Officer was killed last June as she was finishing her shift. She stopped to check on other drivers who had been in a crash and was hit by another passing car. 

Another name engraved on the memorial was Sergeant Jeremy Brown from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He was shot and killed while investigating in an apartment complex in Vancouver. 

The other fallen officers added to the memorial were Correctional Officer Gabriel Forrest, U.S. Department of Defense Officer Jonathan M. Gumm, Correctional Officer Darryl Gooodrich Jr., and Washington State Patrol Trooper Eric Gunderson.
