6.3 magnitude earthquake reported off Southern Oregon coast
OREGON — A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit off the Southern Oregon coast Thursday morning.
The United States Geological Survey reported the quake hit at 8:10 a.m., about 175 miles from Coos Bay at a depth of about 7.5 miles.
According to KATU , there were no immediate reports of damage or injury.
No tsunami is expected from the tremor, according to the National Tsunami Warning Center.
The quake was the latest and strongest in a series to strike off the Oregon coast since August 9.
