3 UW Students Arrested In Theft At Western Washington University

BELLINGHAM, WA — Bellingham police have arrested three University of Washington students in connection with a pair of burglaries in a Western Washington University dormitory.

The Bellingham Herald says Samuel Kasha Sisay, Iyob K. Habte and Haben Embzam Sabbath were booked into the Whatcom County Jail in Bellingham for investigation of residential burglary and theft.

The newspaper says they were on the Bellingham campus for an event last weekend and had stayed overnight in a friend’s room in one of the residence halls.

On Sunday afternoon, two Western Washington University students living in Nash Hall reported their laptop computers had been stolen. The victims gave university police descriptions of three suspects seen in area. An officer found the three loading items into a car trunk.
