2 men robbed in meet-ups at Vancouver school

VANCOUVER, Wash. — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people to be careful after two men were robbed as they separately tried to meet up with a young woman they met online.
Authorities say both of the victims were 23-year-old men who agreed to meet the woman at Truman Elementary School in Vancouver. The first victim showed up at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and was greeted by four or five men wearing masks who jumped out of the bushes, displayed handguns and demanded his money.
The sheriff’s office says the victim waited until Tuesday afternoon to report the crime because he was embarrassed.
The second victim showed up after 7 p.m. Tuesday and was also confronted by four or five armed, masked men, described as being in their late teens or early 20s. The men took his car and drove off, abandoning it about a mile away.
The woman the victims were meeting was described as being 17 to 23 years old.
